Field Effect is an effect in battle that is treated differently from Status Buffs or Status Debuffs which affects entire teams, whether it is all of the player's allies or all enemies. They are not affected by Status Buff Removal and Status Debuff Removal. They are also not counted in Status Buff and Debuff limits as they are separate effects from them.

Up to two Field Effects can be active at one time; only one that affects all allies' party and only one that affects all enemies' party. If a Field Effect is already active for the party when a new Field Effect is activated, the new Field Effect overwrites the previous Field Effect.

Element Effect[]

If an Element Effect is active and a Great Spirit Unison Attack of the target element is used, the normal effect of the Great Spirit Unison Attack will have additional special effects based on the Level of the Unison Attack.

Most Element Effects are usually applied on the user's side of the field, which means that these can only be removed by Field Effects that target the user's side of the field, or by waiting for the Effect's duration to expire.


Unison Attack Level Great Spirit Unison Attack Special Effects
Lv.1 In addition to normal effects, increases stats of all allies by 20% for 60 seconds
and recovers 10 Ability Cost for all allies.
Lv.2 In addition to normal effects, increases stats of all allies by 30% for 60 seconds
and recovers 15 Ability Cost for all allies.
Lv.3 In addition to normal effects, increases stats of all allies by 40% for 60 seconds
and recovers 20 Ability Cost for all allies.
Lv.MAX In addition to normal effects, increases stats of all allies by 50% for 60 seconds
and recovers 25 Ability Cost for all allies.


Fire Element Effect[]

  • Increases ATK/DEF by 40%.
  • Increases fire elemental attack by 4.
  • Reduces wind Unison Attack, and wind Great Spirit Unison Attack damage by 80%.
  • When a fire Great Spirit Unison Attack is used, in accordance with the level of the Attack buffs on all allies will be boosted for 60 seconds and Cost will be recovered for all allies.

Certain Monster Gear Skills require an active Fire Element Effect in order for their effects to activate.

Water Element Effect[]

  • Increases MATK/MDEF by 40%.
  • Increases water elemental attack by 4.
  • Reduces fire Unison Attack, and fire Great Spirit Unison Attack damage by 80%.
  • When a water Great Spirit Unison Attack is used, in accordance with the level of the Attack buffs on all allies will be boosted for 60 seconds and Cost will be recovered for all allies.

Unison Lock[]

When Unison Lock is active, Unison Attacks of Elements specified by these effects cannot be used.

  • Prevents fire Unison Attacks and fire Great Spirit Unison Attacks from activating.

Boss Field[]

Boss Field are Field Effects that are only available to Bosses in Quests.

As they are exclusive to Bosses, all Boss Fields are applied on the enemy side of the field, which means that these can only be removed by Unison Locks which target the user's enemy side of the field, or by defeating all of the Boss's components in the wave. Revived components will reactivate the Boss Field.

  • [Activates when at least one of the legs is alive] When active, the following effects are applied to NPC enemies:
    • All debuffs nullified.
    • DEF and MDEF of all increased by 80% (?)

    • [Bottom Leg Only] Magical damage against it nullified.

  • [Activates when at least one of the Limimin Sixth Angels are alive] When active, the following effects are applied to NPC enemies:
    • All debuffs nullified.
    • DEF and MDEF of all increased by 80% (?)
    • [Top Limimin Sixth Angel Only] Physical damage against it nullified.
    • [Bottom Limimin Sixth Angel Only] Magical damage against it nullified.

When this Field Effect is applied, affected targets will nullify Status Debuffs before they are even applied to them, along with increasing their DEF and MDEF by 80%. Additionally, specific effects are applied to components that remain alive. This Field Effect remains active as long as at least one of the legs are alive on the field.

  • Can be removed by cancelling out with Unison Lock, or by defeating its Left Leg and Right Leg.

Most Collapse Effects are usually applied on the user's enemy side of the field, which means that these can only be removed by Field Effects that target the user's enemy side of the field, or by waiting for the Effect's duration to expire.
